**What you will contribute:**
Within MoneyGram International SA Portugal , the Account Manager \- Northern Portugal will be responsible for expanding the agent network in the designated region by identifying potential customers and signing contracts with new agents in line with the company's strategy.
He or she will also be the first point of contact for agents to resolve issues, manage customer support, and identify improvements within the department that will facilitate increased transaction volume. **What you’ll do:**
* Support management in implementing business plans and targets (network, volumes, and profitability).
* Support retail sales by expanding the sub\-network of agents in designated regions.
* Contact potential agents by phone, in writing, and in person, highlighting MoneyGram's products and services, as well as the mutual benefits of becoming an agent.
* Maintain a database of all potential agents, including their contact information and business activity status.
* Ensure that all sales activity reports are reviewed, analyzed, and followed up on as needed.
* Ensure compliance with standards for all documentation relating to agreements and contracts with agents and the retention of copies.
* Liaise with relevant operational and marketing resources to ensure that the new agent is set up and ready to start in a timely manner, with all the appropriate point\-of\-sale and other documents to enable them to conduct transactions.
* Monitor and ensure that transaction volumes reach expected levels and that opportunities to increase volumes are optimized.
* Develop a strong partnership with key agents and ensure that queries and issues are resolved quickly by liaising with the relevant parties.
* Work with the support of the marketing team to conduct analysis and refine pricing strategies to improve product profitability and transaction volumes.
* Support the marketing team, as required, through regular communication.
**What we’re looking for:**
Minimum requirement: Two years of higher education in sales and/or equivalent sales experience. **Experience:**
* 3 years' experience in a field sales and service role in retail distribution.
* Proven expertise in preparing, managing, and executing sales strategies.
**Required skills:**
* A successful track record in retail sales with a proven ability to increase sales volumes and contribute to the expansion of sales networks.
* A proven track record in building and maintaining customer relationships and identifying opportunities that are beneficial to both parties.
* Previous experience presenting products and services to customers.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills that will enable you to build and maintain relationships with agents both in person and over the phone.
* Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, particularly when addressing prospective agents.
* Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize urgent matters, particularly given the geographical dispersion of the territory.
* Excellent problem\-solving skills and ability to identify effective solutions.
* The ability to work in a highly culturally diverse environment and adapt to each culture by understanding the differences.
* Fluent in both written and spoken in local and English language
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
* Driving license mandatory
