The Contract and Shipping Management Officer reports to the Sales Operations Manager and is part of a team managing Boliden SOMINCOR’s concentrate sales contracts execution wordwide, i.e.,
* Ensuring the best commercial processes to optimize flows and control their compliance with Commercial and other Corporate Procedures;
* Maximising net sales revenue, accounts receivables;
* Minimizing commercial vendors’ costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute concentrate sales contracts in compliance with the Commercial Procedures.
* Prepare and issue or check all documentation for each shipment on a timely manner, including but not limited to concentrate sales invoices, vendors invoices and all relevant logistical documentation with customers, port agents, surveyors, port authorities and insurance companies, in accordance with all contractual and legal procedures
* Monitor the arrival of vessels at the load and destination ports. Appoint supervision companies, analyze the discharge reports to ensure compliance with the conditions defined in the contract.
* Monitor production and shipment’s weights and assays, compare with the contractual obligations
* Control the receipt of certificates from the laboratories (internal or external). Coordinate and execute the exchange of analysis with the customer, monitoring assays differences’ trends in laboratories and customers
* Monitor the metal prices, analyze and confirm quotational periods options and inform Finance Department of the same
* Support other areas in Commercial, Finance and Sites’ Inland Logistics
* Monitor and insure timely receipts of customer payments. Take corrective action as required.
Required Skills and Competencies:
* University degree or equivalent experience.
* Strong team player able to build effective working relationships.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in written and verbal formats, to all levels of the workforce.
* Motivated, with good analytical, problem solving, negotiation and planning skills
* Highly computer literate with knowledge of conventional Microsoft Office software package.
* A commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards and the application of relevant legislation, codes and company standards.
