ChefMaison is a fast-growing startup marketplace that connects clients with chefs to create unique culinary experiences at home, on vacation, or at special events.

We are a fully digital, remote-first team of 7 (and growing), focused on delivering exceptional service through efficient, technology-driven operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to support our daily customer and chef communication.

This is a hands-on curricular internship focused on customer support and daily operations in a fast-paced, digital-first startup.

It is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, solving problems, and ensuring a smooth and high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

Customer & Chef Support

  • Manage and respond to customer and chef inquiries via chat and email
  • Provide fast, clear, and friendly communication
  • Solve day-to-day issues and escalate when needed
  • Ensure a high-quality customer experience at all times
  • Track and log conversations for internal follow-up

Operations Support

  • Assist with daily operational, administrative, and basic financial tasks
  • Update internal records, reports, and spreadsheets
  • Help ensure daily operational tasks are completed on schedule
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback via social media and direct channels
  • Support process improvements when needed
  • Research tools or competitors to provide insights for improvement

Chef Onboarding & Engagement

  • Support onboarding of new chefs
  • Follow up with chefs for missing information
  • Help maintain updated and high-quality chef profiles
  • Support basic communication with the chef community

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree (mandatory for curricular internship)
  • Own computer and reliable internet connection
  • Good written communication skills in English (required); Portuguese is a plus
  • Previous experience in customer support or similar roles is a plus

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and responsible
  • Comfortable and confident in customer-facing communication (chat/email)
  • Comfortable with technology and digital tools

  • Crisp (customer chat)
  • Klaviyo (email marketing)
  • ClickUp (task management & communication)
  • Internal systems and APIs

Location

  • Remote – Western Europe
  • Preference for candidates based in Portugal (Porto area is a plus)

Working Hours

  • Part-time: 25–30 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule aligned with academic requirements, preferably during business hours
