Are you ready to turn complex commercial data into decisive action across the EUCAN & International region? In this role, you will shape the analytics that guide strategy, execution, and performance in markets where every insight matters for patients and the business.
You will partner with Commercial Insights and Advanced Analytics teams to select the right methods, connect diverse datasets, and build evidence that informs high-stakes decisions. Accountabilities
- Analytical execution: Conduct thorough analyses of sales, multichannel activity and testing data to identify drivers, barriers and trends; synthesize disparate sources when centralized data is unavailable.
- Data integration: Leverage internal and external, primary and secondary data to deliver a comprehensive market view that validates trends and strengthens strategic insights.
- Business partnering: Collaborate with EUCAN+INTL Commercial Insights to frame business questions and define analytic plans with clear timelines and deliverables.
- Advanced analytics enablement: Work with EUCAN+INTL Advanced Analytics to define best-in-class data processes; evaluate models and perform statistical tests to ensure evidence-based outputs.
- Automation and reporting: Automate analytics and insight generation (Python, VBA, SQL); lead development and deployment of regional reports and future-proof data models.
- Forecasting and modeling: Lead forecasting initiatives and build models to anticipate future trends; translate outputs into concise, actionable takeaways for leadership.
- Data quality and governance: Ensure accuracy and consistency; proactively identify data gaps and partner to implement solutions that strengthen the data foundation.
- Communication and visualization: Create stakeholder-friendly presentations and dashboards; act as a technical bridge to align on data definitions and analytical outputs.
- Operational excellence: Respond to ad hoc requests with urgency and quality; maintain compliance with Alexion and industry standards; remain flexible as priorities evolve; promote standards in data science.
Essential skills/Experience
- Industry background: Minimum 2 years’ analytics/consulting experience in pharmaceuticals; specialty/orphan biotech strongly preferred.
- Advanced analytics: Proven ability in quantitative modeling and advanced analytics to solve commercial problems; experience evaluating models and applying statistical tests.
- Data engineering/SQL: Proficiency querying structured databases with SQL; familiarity with Snowflake preferred; deep understanding of data structures and pipelines.
- Tools and automation: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI; experience with VBA or other programming languages; ability to automate analyses and reporting.
- Insight generation: Strong problem-solving skills to analyze large datasets, identify patterns and extract actionable insights; ability to craft clear, concise narratives.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Demonstrated effectiveness in cross-functional, international teams; strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, “can‑do” approach.
