**About the role**
At Pepco, we’re growing fast and building our Tech Hub in Porto to support our business across Europe.
We are looking for a **Data QA Lead** to join the team. In this role, you will establish and maintain data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used by the enterprise, as well as work across IT and business teams to implement automated data validation, profiling, and quality monitoring as part of the data platform lifecycle.

**What you’ll be doing**
* Define and implement data QA strategy, standards, and frameworks for the enterprise data platform.
* Design and execute automated and manual tests for data pipelines, transformations, and curated datasets.
* Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to embed quality assurance into development and release cycles.
* Create and maintain data profiling, quality metrics, and issue logs.
* Monitor and report on data quality KPIs across systems and processes
* Identify root causes of data issues and drive remediation and continuous improvement.
* Support adoption of data quality tools and practices by wider teams.
* Champion a culture of data quality awareness and proactive controls.
* Provide assurance during major releases, transitions, and platform upgrades.
**What we’re looking for**
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications in software/data testing, QA, or data quality tools (e.g. ISTQB, DataOps) are advantageous.
* 3\+ years of professional experience in a data quality, QA or test automation role.
* Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes or data warehouse environments.
* Familiarity with data testing frameworks, data validation scripting, and QA automation tools.
* Experience with cloud data platforms and tools (e.g. Azure, DataBricks, Snowflake).
* Strong understanding of data quality dimensions (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, etc.).
* Good documentation, analytical, and issue resolution skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.
* Able to operate independently while contributing to cross\-functional delivery goals.
* Strong problem\-solving mindset and hands\-on approach
* Ability to work in an international and fast\-paced environment.
* Fluent English (mandatory) – you will work daily with international stakeholders
* Clear communication and team collaboration
