Job Description About the role

As AUTODOC continues its rapid transformation into a premier tech ecosystem, our Enterprise Architecture function serves as the essential bridge between our ambitious business goals and technical execution. To support our long-term strategy, we are evolving our landscape by introducing high-impact applications while decommissioning legacy systems to ensure operational excellence. We are now shifting our focus from merely housing information to cultivating a high-quality, automated data ecosystem that powers rapid decision-making and AI-driven scale.

As such, we are hiring an Enterprise Architect to bridge the gap between our business strategy and technology. In this role, you will look holistically at how data flows through Autodoc - from its creation in operational systems like AWS, SAP, or PIM to its final use in analytics and AI.

Your mission is to build a scalable data foundation by defining a cross-functional strategy and a clear MDM roadmap. You will be the central authority responsible for designing and evolving our data ecosystem, ensuring that information is consistent, trusted, and ready for automation across all key domains, including Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering.

Your responsibilities will include:

Architecture Strategy and Future-State Design

  • Define the future-state data architecture, including domains, canonical models, and semantic layers.
  • Document current data flows and ownership boundaries, identifying structural gaps and risks.
  • Develop transition roadmaps and sequencing plans aligned with business priorities and scalability.

Govern Data Domain Architects and Data Architecture Practices

  • Build frameworks, assets, and tooling for Data Domain Architects; provide direction and coaching.
  • Review and approve conceptual, logical, and canonical data models.
  • Ensure data architecture is embedded into project intake and manage architectural debt.

Establish Canonical Models and Cross-Domain Data Interoperability

  • Champion the adoption of MDM, metadata management, and data quality components.
  • Define canonical models for core entities (orders, stock, customer) and govern CRUD ownership.
  • Resolve semantic inconsistencies and ensure integrations follow enterprise data contracts.

Enable Trusted, AI-Ready, High-Quality Enterprise Data

  • Define the enterprise semantic layer for KPIs and metrics to ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Establish data quality standards, lineage requirements, and metadata governance.
  • Ensure architecture supports AI/ML readiness (feature stores, trusted training pipelines).
  • Coordinate cross-team remediation for systemic data quality issues.

Compliance, Risk Management, and Industry Alignment

  • Define the data risk framework (accuracy, privacy, GDPR) and classification policies.
  • Ensure data controls are embedded into the architecture design from the start.
  • Lead cross-domain reviews of data incidents and drive systemic fixes.

Contribute to and Lead the Architecture Community

  • Lead the Data Architecture Community of Practice and mentor architects across the company.
  • Share modeling standards and governance assets to raise data architecture maturity.
  • Collaborate with other Enterprise Architects to ensure unified business and tech alignment.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years in IT, with 2+ years in information systems design for complex, distributed environments.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data ecosystems.
  • 3–5 years as a Data Analyst (highly desirable) with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM, semantic modeling, data governance, and BI.
  • Practical experience with DMBOK or similar frameworks is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in Data Modeling: Deep knowledge of enterprise-level modeling, information classification, and semantic consistency.
  • Architecture Frameworks: Strong understanding of information models, data governance principles, and MDM/DWH methodologies.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable architectural patterns (relational/object modeling, taxonomies, ontologies).
  • Strategic Evaluation: Capability to assess new technologies and their financial/operational impact on the enterprise.

Soft Skills and Leadership Capabilities

  • Influence & Communication: Ability to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders and drive adoption of standards.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Recognized as a trusted advisor who can build and lead a Community of Practice.
  • Strategic Delivery: Strong judgment in balancing short-term project needs with long-term architectural integrity.
  • Vendor Neutrality: Ability to remain unbiased toward specific technologies, focusing on long-term sustainability and value.

Key Behaviors and Competencies

  • Enterprise Mindset: High level of ownership and accountability for the company's data health.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to identify business performance improvements through data-driven opportunities.
  • Trusted Advisor: Proven capacity to align cross-functional teams (Business, Tech, Finance) toward shared goals.

Additional Information What We Offer

  • Impact & Growth: We are a fast-growing tech scale-up where your work directly influences the future of the automotive aftermarket.
  • Flexibility: We support a modern work-life balance with flexible working hours and remote work options where possible.
