With offices in the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, and Sweden, we are continuously expanding, along with our team. Currently, we are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join our Porto office.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance in financial reporting. You will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth and contributing to strategic financial planning within the renewable energy sector.

As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with senior management, taking ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. You will also be involved in strengthening internal controls, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvements across financial processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proven experience in financial control, and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
* Proficiency in financial management systems (ERP) and advanced MS Excel
* Experience with audits and regulatory compliance
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Fluency in English (Spanish, Swedish and Portuguese are a plus)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Manage and improve budgeting and forecasting processes
* Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
* Coordinate and support internal and external audits
* Develop and maintain internal controls and financial procedures
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
