Position Overview:

United Lisbon International School is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our science classes and activities ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Organize laboratory resources and manage stocks and orders effectively.

· Set up all materials for lab experiments according to school procedures and timelines.

· Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures, test results, and inventory.

· Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and procedures in all laboratory activities.

· Provide support to science lessons, activities, and projects in close connection with the Science department, leading team and students involved.

Skills & Requirements

• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in an educational institution.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively in a laboratory setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrates an adaptable and creative approach to daily laboratory tasks.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and ethics.

Language Skills

• Proficiency in English.
• Fluency in Portuguese is an advantage.
