About the Group

De Kercoet is a luxury design and bespoke furniture group with entities across four countries. The French entity (De Kercoet) is the creative and design heart of the business, home to the Parisian showroom, design studio, and the group’s intellectual property. The US entity serves the North American market with sales, project management, and client relations. A new production facility is being established in Portugal, and a commercial presence exists in Dubai.

ARTD52, based in the Porto region, is being structured as the group’s shared services company. It will centralise bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, and intercompany administration for all entities. This is a foundational hire — you will build the shared services function from the ground up.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on accountant with multi-country exposure to take ownership of the group’s day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration across all four jurisdictions (France, United States, Portugal, and the UAE). You will be the single point of accountability for keeping the books clean, intercompany flows properly documented, and local filing obligations met on time.

This is not a back-office support role. You will work closely with the group’s founder and local advisors in each country to ensure the financial architecture supports the group’s growth while remaining compliant and audit-ready.

Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Accounting

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for all group entities (France, US, Portugal, UAE)
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers and ensure timely monthly closes for each entity
  • Prepare and file VAT/sales tax returns, payroll declarations, and statutory accounts in coordination with local advisors
  • Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and supplier/client ledgers across all entities

Intercompany & Transfer Pricing

  • Prepare and issue intercompany invoices for all cross-border flows: design fees, showroom hosting contributions, marketing cost allocations, IT and website charges, and IP/brand licensing fees
  • Apply and document arm’s-length transfer pricing methodologies (cost-plus for services, comparable pricing for goods) in line with OECD guidelines
  • Maintain transfer pricing documentation files ready for audit in each jurisdiction
  • Track and reconcile production cost flows from the Portuguese production entity to sales entities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Produce monthly management reporting packs for the group CEO, consolidating results across all entities
  • Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors in France, the US, Portugal, and the UAE to ensure local compliance
  • Support year-end audits and statutory filings in each jurisdiction
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting the group’s tax and accounting obligations

Shared Services Development

  • Build and document processes, templates, and workflows for the shared services function
  • Implement and manage the group’s accounting software and chart of accounts across entities
  • Identify opportunities to centralise additional administrative functions over time

Your ProfileRequired

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-entity or multi-country accounting (SME or mid-market preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of at least two of the following frameworks: French PCG, US GAAP, Portuguese SNC, IFRS
  • Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and transfer pricing documentation
  • Fluent in English (working language of the group)
  • Proficient with modern accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) and Excel
  • Rigorous, autonomous, and comfortable working across time zones and cultures

Preferred

  • Professional background in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit/advisory firm
  • French language skills (the French entity operates partly in French)
  • Experience with Portuguese tax and social security filings
  • Familiarity with UAE/DIFC accounting and VAT requirements
  • Experience setting up shared services or finance functions from scratch

What We Offer

  • A foundational role in a growing international group with direct access to the founder
  • The opportunity to build the shared services function and shape its future scope
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your impact is visible and valued
  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and the Porto market
  • Flexibility on working arrangements within the Porto region

How to Apply

Send your CV and a brief cover note explaining your multi-country accounting experience to jerome@dekercoet.com. Please indicate your availability and salary expectations. Applications in English are preferred.
