Avignon Hospitality Group is building a new hotel concept in northeast Portugal. A 50-room property currently undergoing a complete transformation in a remote and remarkable landscape. We are not looking for someone to man a desk. We are looking for someone who understands that the first and last impression a guest carries is almost always the one made by the person standing in front of them at arrival and departure.

This is a founding role in a new property. The team is small, the standards are high, and the opportunity to shape how guests experience this place from day one is real.

What you will do

• Welcome, check in and check out guests with warmth, precision and genuine interest in who they are
• Own the arrival and departure experience end to end - from the first email to the final goodbye
• Handle reservations, guest requests, complaints and special occasions with the same calm and care
• Be the connective tissue between rooms, F&B, spa and every other department
• Anticipate what guests need before they ask for it
• Represent the property and the group with every interaction, on property and off

Who you are

• You are naturally warm - not trained warm, actually warm
• You speak Portuguese and English fluently - Spanish is a strong advantage given our location near the border
• You notice things - a guest who seems lost, a name pronounced incorrectly, a room preference mentioned once and never followed up on
• You are calm under pressure and honest when things go wrong
• You are ready to relocate fully to a remote location and embrace that as a feature, not a compromise
• You do not need everything figured out - you need the curiosity to figure it out and the humility to ask
• You want to grow in hospitality and see this role as the beginning of something, not the destination
