To know more about us, visit visteon.com.Mission of the Role: Visteon is seeking a Buyer II – Logistics, Freight & Packaging to support global sourcing and commercial management of logistics‑related categories across its worldwide operations. Based in Portugal, this role operates within a global procurement framework and partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure cost‑effective, reliable, and compliant solutions.
The scope includes freight and transportation services, logistics services, logistics equipment, and packaging solutions. This role is ideal for a buyer with 2–3 years of experience looking to grow in a global, technology‑driven automotive environment. Key Objectives of this Role:* Support sourcing activities for global categories including freight (road, ocean, air, intermodal), logistics services, logistics equipment, and packaging (returnable and expendable).

• Execute and support RFQs, bid evaluations, and cost comparisons for global and regional requirements.
• Support negotiation, award, and implementation of contracts with logistics, equipment, and packaging suppliers.
• Manage assigned suppliers and scopes; monitor performance against KPIs (cost, delivery, service, quality).
• Track spend, support savings initiatives, and ensure contract and rate compliance.
• Collaborate with Global Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance teams.
• Maintain procurement and contract data in SAP and sourcing systems, ensuring policy and audit compliance.

Qualification, Experience and Skills* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.

• 2–3 years of experience in indirect procurement, logistics buying, packaging procurement, or transportation.
• Understanding of logistics cost drivers, freight markets, and packaging solutions.
• Experience supporting RFQs and supplier negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel.
• Fluent English required (written and spoken), additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications* Experience in automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing.

• Exposure to returnable packaging systems, logistics equipment, or plant support services.
• Experience with SAP and eSourcing tools.
• Interest in logistics optimization and sustainability initiatives.
