Último Recurso is a climate justice organisation using the power of Law to hold governments and corporations accountable. We work through climate litigation, strategic advocacy, and community legal support to protect people and the planet. Our mission is to put legal tools at the service of climate and social justice: demanding the transformation of current legal systems to enable the structural change needed to face the climate crisis.

THE PROGRAM

This is an opportunity to grow into a dedicated professional within one of Portugal's leading climate justice organisations.

We are looking for students and recent graduates who want to start their journey with ambition and excellence. This is an immersive learning internship where you will take real ownership of deliverables and tasks in your office.

• Location: International (Remote)
• Compensation: Unpaid internship
• Commitment: 20 to 30 hours/week (Fixed)
• Duration: 3 Months

WHO ARE YOU

• A final-year Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD student, or recent graduate with a strong academic record and a traceable history of engagement beyond the classroom.
• Proactive, intellectually curious, and motivated to contribute to the growth of the workstream you are assigned to. Capable of working with autonomy while remaining open to learning and supervision.
• Respects Último Recurso's values of climate justice, integrity, care, urgency, and anti-oppression in how they work and engage with the team.
• Approaches the learning cycle as a professional experience, with discipline, curiosity, and commitment, while having clear and professional communication when giving or receiving feedback.
• Have a genuine alignment with climate justice and the resilience to handle complex, high-stakes work.
• Fluent in English or Portuguese (fluency in both is an advantage).
