Junior Planner

### Overview
We are currently strengthening our team by recruiting a Junior Planner to support global industrial projects. The role is part of the Project Controls \& Analytics function within an Engineering \& Construction environment, focused on delivering large-scale, low-carbon industrial projects.
The selected candidate will be based in Portugal and integrated into a dynamic and multicultural team.
### Key Responsibilities
* Develop, monitor, and analyse project schedules.
* Perform planning and scheduling activities across the full project lifecycle, from development to delivery.
* Review and analyse contractor and supplier schedules.
* Conduct time impact analysis, delay analysis, and support extension of time claims.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams.
* Evaluate planning procedures and propose improvements.
* Apply standard planning methodologies, tools, and best practices.
* Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
* Ensure schedule accuracy and consistency of project data.
* Coordinate planning activities, meetings, and reporting.
* Perform baseline tracking, what-if analysis, and contingency planning.
* Support planning of fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities.
### Reporting \& Controls
Prepare and maintain reports including:
* Baseline data (planned dates, progress, manhours/units)
* Actual performance data (progress, earned values)
* Forecast data (dates, resources)
* Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
* Cost Performance Index (CPI)
* Milestone Trend Analysis (MTA)
* Project KPIs
* S-curves (progress and manhours)
* Critical path analysis
* Short-term lookahead schedules
### Requirements
### Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
* Experience in sectors such as Power, Oil \& Gas, Refining, or Petrochemical (preferred)
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
* Availability for international travel (short and medium term)
* Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
