Management Systems Technician – Quality, Environment, and Health and Safety

We are looking to expand our team with a QMS Technician who meets the following criteria:

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Systems, ensuring their maintenance, continuous improvement, and compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, as well as plan and conduct internal audits of the systems under your responsibility.
  • Monitor and analyze nonconformities, risks, customer complaints, and internal incidents, proposing and following up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and environmental incidents, identify root causes, and monitor the implementation of preventive measures, working closely with operational teams.
  • Develop and promote awareness-raising and training initiatives in the areas of Quality, Environment, and Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Ensure that maintenance and inspection plans for safety equipment are followed up on, in coordination with external entities.
  • Serve as the point of contact with the external occupational safety and health entity.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements by assisting in the development, updating, and monitoring of system documentation (policies, manuals, procedures, plans, and records).
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in internal processes and practices.

Desired profile:

  • Education in the field (bachelor’s degree, vocational training program, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in managing certified management systems, including active participation in audits.
  • Training and/or experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Some knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding quality, the environment, and occupational safety and health.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and resilient individual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others.
  • Availability to work on-site.
