About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Manager to lead our Business Development Representative (BDR) team across Portugal and the US. This team is responsible for generating qualified pipeline by engaging both prospective customers and our existing client base, and plays a critical role in driving both new business and expansion opportunities across the business.
This person will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, coaching, and development of the BDR team. We're looking for someone who can build and maintain a high-performance, high-accountability culture while keeping the team engaged, motivated, and having fun. A big part of the role will be driving consistent activity levels across both prospecting and customer engagement motions, improving conversion rates, and helping BDRs build the skills they need to progress into Account Executive roles over time.
The Manager, BDRs will report directly to the EVP of Global Revenue and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Sales Enablement to ensure the team is aligned to our highest priority growth initiatives. This includes supporting pipeline creation across new logo acquisition as well as cross-sell and upsell opportunities within our existing customer base.
This is a Hybrid role in the Lisbon Office
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and develop a BDR team based in Portugal and the US
- Drive day-to-day performance across activity levels, meeting generation, and pipeline contribution
- Coach BDRs on outreach, messaging, objection handling, discovery, and qualification
- Support pipeline generation across both net new and expansion (cross-sell / upsell) opportunities
- Help BDRs develop the product and technical understanding needed to engage credibly with prospects and customers
- Partner with the Sales Enablement team to ensure onboarding and ongoing enablement programs are executed consistently
- Reinforce adoption of tools, messaging frameworks, and training delivered through existing enablement programs
- Work with Sales and Customer Success leadership to align outreach efforts to territory plans and account growth strategies
- Monitor individual and team performance metrics and identify areas for coaching and improvement
- Support clear development paths for BDRs looking to advance into AE roles
- Build and maintain a team environment that is performance-oriented, collaborative, and positive
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a quota-carrying sales role (BDR, AE, or similar)
- Experience managing or mentoring sales talent
- Strong understanding of pipeline generation across both new logo and customer expansion motions
- Comfort managing to activity, conversion, and pipeline metrics
- Ability to quickly learn and communicate product capabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with Salesforce and common sales engagement / prospecting tools
