What you will do
--------------------

EDP is strengthening its digital and analytics capabilities within energy markets and system operations, focusing on forecasting, system interoperability, and data-driven decision-making across energy production assets.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement forecasting models for energy markets and renewable production assets
  • Design and support communication models between energy production systems and operational platforms
  • Contribute to the integration of data-driven solutions for energy market and system operations
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to support energy forecasting and operational optimisation
  • Collaborate with engineering and digital teams to translate business and operational needs into technical solutions
  • Support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and analytical models
  • Participate in model validation, testing, and performance monitoring activities
  • Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of data and system architectures
  • Stay up to date with advancements in energy systems modelling, forecasting techniques, and digital energy platforms

What are we looking for
---------------------------

  • 6 to 10 years of professional experience in energy systems, data engineering, forecasting, or related technical fields
  • University Degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related scientific fields
  • Strong experience in implementation of forecasting models (energy production, demand, or market forecasting)
  • Proven experience in integration and implementation of communication models between energy production systems
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience working with complex datasets
  • Experience in energy markets, renewable energy systems, or system operations is highly valued
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, system integration, and applied modelling techniques
  • Programming experience (Python or similar) is a plus
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments combining engineering, data, and business perspectives
