The Role

We're looking for an experienced natural skincare formulator to join our content team on a freelance basis. You'll collaborate with our creative director to develop original recipes, prepare products for filming, and help bring our clean beauty content to life. This is a hands-on, creative role ideal for someone with a background in natural cosmetics, botanical ingredients, or holistic beauty.

What You'll Do

• Develop original natural skincare recipes (face masks, balms, facial oils, body scrubs, hair treatments, etc.) using plant-based and botanical ingredients
• Research and source high-quality oils, botanicals, and natural actives suited to each formulation
• Prepare and demonstrate products on camera during scheduled content shoot days (hands-on demonstration only)
• Communicate the benefits, properties, and uses of each ingredient in an accessible way for a general audience
• Ensure all formulations are safe, appropriately preserved, and suitable for a range of skin types
• Collaborate on content themes and seasonal campaigns (e.g. hydration-focused winter skincare, lightweight summer formulas)
• Optionally contribute ideas linking clean beauty to nutrition and wellness topics

Who You Are

Required:

• Demonstrated expertise in natural or botanical skincare formulation (formal training or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Practical experience developing skincare products — personal projects, independent brands, market stalls, or workshops all welcome
• Comfortable performing hands-on product preparation and demonstration on camera
• Based in Lisbon or able to travel reliably for shoot days
• Conversational English

Nice to have:

• Background in holistic health, nutrition, or clean beauty
• Existing social media presence or experience creating content
• Knowledge of locally sourced or Portuguese botanical ingredients
• Familiarity with cosmetic safety guidelines and natural preservation methods
