Your main tasks

  • Support customer quotations and procurement activities during the project acquisition and NPI phases.
  • Act as a core team member in cross‑functional project meetings, proactively influencing cost structures through alternative production methods and supplier options.
  • Manage tooling and customer‑related procurement projects from initial request through release at the final manufacturing location, ensuring adherence to customer timelines.
  • Analyze markets, technical requirements, and cost structures to support sourcing strategies and future project needs.
  • Lead supplier RFQs, negotiations, and competitive bid processes, including offer evaluation, sourcing presentations, and supplier selection.
  • Contribute to product design and VA/VE reviews to support design‑to‑manufacture decisions and cost optimization.
  • Coordinate changes, risk assessments, and supplier component reviews across engineering, supply chain, quality, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper project handover to commodity buyers while driving cost‑saving initiatives, process improvements, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Your ideal background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; equivalents through relevant technical or tooling background are also considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, cost engineering, project management, or a technical role such as process, product, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in new product development / NPI, ideally within automotive or e‑mobility environments.
  • Strong analytical and cost‑focused mindset, with the ability to read technical drawings and evaluate supplier quotations.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers in competitive sourcing or RFQ processes.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and industrial production methods.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross‑functional, matrix, and multicultural environment under time pressure.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.
  • Comfortable using SAP and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for analysis and reporting.
