About the Job

The Team: The Marketing department shapes how Marley Spoon connects with customers and drives value. We’re looking for a Pricing & Promotional Manager to join us in Lisbon, where you’ll play a key role in driving data-informed pricing decisions and developing sophisticated models for food, shipping, and non-food items across all our global regions.

The Role: you will lead our pricing optimization framework and promotional strategy, using data-backed insights to guide strategic decisions. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing & Pricing Intelligence and cross-functional teams to ensure our strategies align with broader business goals and are implemented with precision.

What You’ll Do

Pricing Strategy & Optimization

  • Model Development: Maintain and evolve pricing models across all regions to determine optimal price points.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to identify risks and provide data-backed rate recommendations.
  • Framework Ownership: Own the pricing optimization framework to support long-term commercial goals and customer value.

Promotional Strategy & Management

  • Retention Excellence: Lead the promotional strategy using A/B testing to identify the most effective discounts and incentives for customer retention.
  • Budget Accountability: Manage the promotional budget, providing accurate spend forecasts and taking proactive measures to meet financial targets.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with marketing and deployment teams to ensure timely execution of pricing changes and promotional campaigns.

We’d Love to Meet You If You Can Bring

  • Experience: +3 years in pricing, commercial analytics, or finance ideally within e-commerce or subscription services.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Engineering, Business or related fields.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of pricing mechanics, margin drivers, and how pricing influences customer behavior.
  • Communication: Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Growth Mindset: A self-driven, action-oriented approach with the resilience to adapt to shifting demands in a high-growth environment.
