We're now seeking a new Procurement Lead for our Supply Chain operations at Bloq.it, focusing on large-scale production planning for our smart locker solutions. As the Lead Buyer, you'll shape our purchasing strategy, ensuring timely and cost-effective material acquisition. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to optimize processes, control costs, and uphold quality standards.

What you’ll be doing:

* Implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with company objectives while ensuring compliance of the purchasing budgets;
* Establish long-term relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable supply chain.
* Continuously assess supplier performance and implement improvement strategies to enhance quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness;
* Ensure that all purchased materials and components meet quality standards and specifications.
* Resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly and effectively;
* Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational demands while minimizing carrying costs;
* Generate regular reports on purchasing performance and cost analysis;
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to ensure alignment with production schedules and project timelines;
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders such as Delivery \& Maintenance team to address their purchasing needs and concerns.

What you’ll bring to the table:

* Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Lead Buyer, Sourcing Manager or a similar role.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is valued;
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills;
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
* Proficient in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken);
* Highly organized and process oriented;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Knowledge of smart locker systems or related technology is a plus;
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that is constantly changing and adapting;
* Familiarity with Excel and prior experience in startups or big-tech environments are a plus.

It would be great if you would also have:

* Experience setting up or scaling procurement functions from scratch.
