The Role

You will lead a small team of Engineers operating at customer/end user sites across the globe. Your focus is operational: ensuring the team is ready, the mission runs smoothly, and the customer has a trusted partner on the ground. You'll be the bridge between our engineering organisation at home and the realities of the field.

What you will do

* Lead and support a small team of Forward Deployed Engineers in live operational environments
* Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on-site and off-site, managing day-to-day operations and expectations under pressure
* Ensure system readiness, operational continuity, and adherence to safety and compliance standards
* Coordinate with internal engineering, logistics, and other teams to resolve issues and anticipate needs
* Report on operational performance, incidents, and lessons learned
* Foster a high-performing, adaptable team culture in a demanding field setting

What you bring

* Proven experience leading technical, operational, or customer-facing teams
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable making decisions under pressure and in dynamic situations
* Willingness to travel regularly
* Organised, accountable, and calm under pressure

Nice to have

* Technical background in avionics, electronics, or systems integration
* Experience in defence, aerospace, UAV systems, or critical infrastructure sectors
* Familiarity with military or government operational environments
