The project: Mace consult is delivering a landmark national infrastructure programme in Lisbon - a multibillion‑euro, multi‑modal transport investment that will shape the city for generations. We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead and implement the project’s risk management strategy, ensuring robust identification, assessment and mitigation of risks across this major programme.
You’ll be responsible for:* Supporting effective risk management performance and the implementation of risk frameworks and strategies across assigned commissions.
* Driving team performance through coaching, technical development and consistent performance management.
* Building strong working relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
* Providing expert guidance to the project team on risk processes, including escalation of key risks and risks to achieving critical objectives.
* Facilitating and deliver risk workshops to identify, assess and prioritise risks.
* Working closely with the Project Manager to identify opportunities and develop mitigation plans to reduce exposure.
* Ensuring risk mitigation action plans are in place, with clear ownership and regular monitoring updates.
* Supporting delivery of quantitative risk analysis (cost and schedule) to inform project decision‑making.
* Producing monthly risk reports for both the client and internal project leadership, including assessment of contingency adequacy.
* Ensuring all activities comply with the Mace control centre, client requirements and relevant legislation.
* Collaborating closely with PMO and Planning to ensure risk is fully integrated into project controls.
* Providing guidance and support to junior risk managers and other project team members as needed.
* Contributing proactively to the programme’s net‑zero carbon goals by identifying and managing carbon‑related risks and reduction opportunities
