Sales Representative (Oporto)
Purpose:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Sales Representative is in charge of executing the Company strategies in the Point of Sales. He/she will drive the negotiation with selected customers and POS activation change in line with new Bayer way of selling standards, to ultimately deliver the sales targets (sell in, sell out and Market share), acting always upon DSO principles.
Major tasks and responsibilities of position
- Execute impactful activities in store that successfully meet customers’ needs and deliver the Sales targets. Focuses on planograms and key priority brands for Sell out.
- Ensure correct POS segmentation and acts upon the designed route to market which maximize effectiveness for Bayer and our Customers.
- Identifies online business development opportunities in pharmacies in its territory (Omnichannel)
- Develops long term partnership with the Customers in his/her Territory focusing on joint value creation at POS and win vs competition
- Drive Customer-Centered Sales to jointly address opportunities and build strong, sustainable and mutually profitable relationships
- Delivers on Activation planning objectives (coverage – frequency and steps of the visit) at all POS by focusing on standards of the visit.
- Collaborates enthusiastically internally and contributes to important cross functional projects.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the efficacy and relevant usage for Bayer products in the category, major competitors, key product features and benefits.

Who you are:
- Educated to degree standard: higher education, preferably university degree
- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in similar jobs in FMCG and/or Consumer Health industry with solid track record of success (including delivering on targets). Customers’ knowledge is essential.
- Knowledge of the digital environment at the user level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capability to adapt to audience specifics.
+ Fluent in Portuguese, good English
- Can work under pressure and capable of delivering commitments
- Strong inter-personal and communication skill, able to engage and execute
- Strong in problem solving.
- Strong ability to manage ambiguity, constructive management of objections from a technical point of view as well as at a more emotional level (i.e. managing customer frustration).

- Scientific product knowledge and ability to train pharmacist and pharmacist staff
