**Job Title**
Seamless Travel Senior Solution Architect**Summary of the Role**
The **Seamless Travel Senior Solution Architect** will design, tailor, and deliver end‑to‑end technical solutions for major European airport customers within the Seamless Travel division. Working closely with software, network, hardware and cloud teams, the role ensures that each customer deployment is architected to meet mission‑critical, 24/7 operational requirements and fully aligns with Amadeus security, cloud, and enterprise standards.
This position plays a key role in pre‑sales, solution design, customer workshops, infrastructure definition, and the technical leadership of deployments and change requests.
**Key Responsibilities**
### **Solution Architecture \& Customer Engagement**
* Act as Solution Architect for self‑service airport projects, participating in customer technical meetings and producing customer‑facing solution documentation.
* Build tailored technical and functional architectures using Amadeus standard solution components.
* Support pre‑sales cycles and RFP/RFI responses by defining the solution, identifying technical gaps, and contributing to estimation activities.
* Translate business and operational requirements into secure, scalable, end‑to‑end architectures.
### **Cloud, Infrastructure \& Network Design**
* Design, set up, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructures, including AWS networking (VPCs, WAFs, IAM, security groups) and connectivity to on‑premise airport systems.
* Define airport network integration models, connectivity flows, and security postures for edge devices and on‑site infrastructure.
* Ensure architectures meet the needs of **mission‑critical 24/7** environments and comply with regulatory and operational constraints.
### **Security \& Compliance**
* Implement and optimize security tooling, monitoring, alerting, and integrations with third‑party platforms.
* Coordinate penetration testing activities for systems handling sensitive data and ensure remediation plans are properly executed.
* Maintain adherence to internal security policies and respond to customer security assessments, questionnaires, and non‑standard requests.
* Protect public endpoints and ensure continuous alignment with evolving cyber‑security threats.
### **Delivery, Integration \& Operational Support**
* Contribute to customer deployments, technical migrations, and regulatory or mandated upgrades.
* Manage change requests from existing customers and evaluate technical impacts.
* Automate operational tasks to improve reliability, speed, and maintainability.
* Work collaboratively with software engineering teams and provide input on high‑level design when needed.
### **Collaboration \& Knowledge Enablement**
* Collaborate with cross‑functional, global teams across engineering, security, and delivery.
* Share knowledge and upskill colleagues on cloud, networking, and security best practices.
* Promote continuous improvement and architecture consistency across AAO implementation projects.
**About the Ideal Candidate**
* Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end technical solutions in regulated, complex, multi‑stakeholder environments (airports, transport, banking, healthcare, telco, etc.).
* Experience as a Solution Architect, Customer Solution Architect, Network Architect professional, ideally within global and matrix organizations.
* Experience in cloud and hybrid infrastructure, secure network design, IAM, firewalls, TLS/certificates, OS/device hardening, and vulnerability management.
* Hands‑on experience with AWS (Azure/GCP acceptable) and cloud networking fundamentals.
* Experience architecting and delivering **mission‑critical 24/7** operational systems.
* Demonstrated experience with multi‑site rollouts, hardware/software deployments, and edge device integrations.
* Solid understanding of automation, scripting (Python, shell), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
* Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability platforms (Elastic experience is a plus).
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
