Job Title: Sous Chef (Second de Cuisine)
Location: Tarabel Lisbon
Contract: 9-Month Fixed-Term
Tarabel Lisbon is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team for a 9-month fixed-term contract.
As the second in command in the kitchen, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen operations. You will play a key role in maintaining consistency, managing the team, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and support the kitchen team
- Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Manage stock, orders, and kitchen organization
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in compliance with regulations
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal creations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role (Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Passion for high-quality cuisine and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
