Position Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant at United Lisbon International School, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher by providing clerical assistance, supervising students, and offering instructional support under the teacher's guidance. Your proactive involvement will contribute to fostering a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both written and spoken Portuguese and English.
• Proficient in following oral and written directions.
• Strong typing and computer skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role or possession of a teacher certification is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to address individual student needs.
• Ensure proactive supervision during playground and other designated activities.
• Create visually engaging materials such as charts, lists, posters, etc., for bulletin boards.
• Assist with typing informal notes, messages, reports, and worksheets.
• Supervise activities where direct teacher presence is not required.
• Support students in specific tasks as needed.
• Manage the collection and organization of materials for teachers.
• Assist in data entry for student reports online.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and teaching materials.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Adhere to school policies and regulations, exercising good judgment in various situations.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Classroom Teacher.
