PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
The Team Leader GBS HR Services - Mobility Operations – will be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and delivery of EMEA mobility services within the GBS mobility organization.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Mobility Operations, this role ensures high-quality, compliant, and timely execution of mobility processes while fostering a strong performance culture within the team.
The role plays a critical part in translating global mobility standards and governance frameworks into operational excellence, ensuring a consistent employee experience across EMEA region and supporting the company’s global talent strategy.
As a People Manager, this role will ensure that enough structure and resources are in place to execute the roadmap, delivery of people and process changes. This position will be responsible for the recruitment, coaching and performance management of the direct reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL DELIVERY & CASE MANAGEMENT
- Ensure end-to-end execution of EMEA mobility operations (e.g. relocations, assignments, immigration, tax coordination) in line with global policies, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the first level escalation point for complex, non-standard, or sensitive mobility cases;
- Accountable toresolve issues efficiently or escalate appropriately to senior management.
- Monitor service quality, cycle times, and backlog to ensure stable and predictable delivery.
- Ensure accurate documentation, proper case tracking, and adherence to internal controls.
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mobility Specialists / Senior Specialists.
- Set clear performance goals, priorities, and KPIs aligned with GBS Mobility objectives
- Conduct regular performance reviews, feedback conversations, and development planning.
- Drive onboarding, upskilling, and knowledge sharing to build subject-matter depth and operational resilience.
- Foster a quality-first, customer-centric, and continuous improvement mindset within the team.
STAKEHOLDER & BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
- Act as the primary operational interface for HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Rewards / Cross Border Employment (CBE), Payroll, Finance, and Legal for assigned mobility populations.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Mobility COE (CBE) and the Senior Manager to ensure alignment with global standards, changes, and initiatives.
- Support communication with external vendors (e.g. immigration, relocation, tax providers) on operational topics and service issues.
COMPLIANCE, RISK & AUDIT READINESS
- Ensure processes are executed in compliance with immigration, tax, labor law, and internal audit requirements.
- Proactively identify operational risks, data quality issues, or control gaps and implement mitigating actions.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation readiness and timely responses.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Identify and drive process improvements, standardization opportunities, and automation initiatives within the team’s scope.
- Contribute to the rollout of new tools, policies, or ways of working.
- Use operational insights and reporting to support performance discussions and decision-making.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Solid expertise and practical knowledge in global mobility operations, including relocation, immigration, and tax coordination.
- Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multi-team environment to achieve consensus decisions, always having adidas consistent growth in mind.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Hands-on problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness.

- Proven people leadership experience in an operational or shared services environment.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related areas.
- 4+ years of progressive work experience in Global Mobility, with leadership experience.
- Prior experience leading or coordinating teams in a high-volume, process-driven environment.
- Broad and deep theoretical understanding of job function.
