ABOUT ÚLTIMO RECURSO

Último Recurso is a climate justice organisation using the power of Law to hold governments and corporations accountable. We work through climate litigation, strategic advocacy, and community legal support to protect people and the planet. Our mission is to put legal tools at the service of climate and social justice: demanding the transformation of current legal systems to enable the structural change needed to face the climate crisis.

THE PROGRAM

This is an opportunity to apply the full depth of your expertise at the highest level, lead within your office, and contribute to a mission that aims to create an impactful climate difference.

We are looking for expertise and vision from professionals who excel in their field, to contribute with the high-level knowledge you've built over your career, across Último Recurso's Offices. You'll have the autonomy to challenge our status quo and help us scale our impact internationally. This is a role for professionals who want to use their experience to move the needle on climate justice.

• Location: International (Remote)
• Compensation: Unpaid Volunteering
• Commitment: Minimum 4 hours/week

WHO ARE YOU

• A highly-experienced professional with 5+ years of experience in their field, whose competencies match or exceed director-level expectations.
• Driven, proactive, and ambitious individual who comes to apply their skills, challenge, and lead in their designated workspace.
• Motivated to apply their full range of knowledge and expertise when working on complex, high-impact challenges in the Climate Litigation mission.
• Respects Último Recurso's values of climate justice, integrity, care, urgency, and anti-oppression in how they work and engage with the team.
• Have a genuine alignment with climate justice and the resilience to handle complex, high-stakes work.
• Fluent in English or Portuguese (fluency in both is an advantage)
